Who We Are
Airboat Catamaran is a Dutch company specializing in the design and construction of heavy-duty, all-terrain airboat catamarans, hydrocopters, and HDPE pontoons for deep‑blue operations.
We combine the shallow‑water capability of traditional airboats with the stability and payload of catamaran hulls — and add retractable wheels and skis for true all‑terrain operation.
Our vessels are built to order in the Netherlands using HDPE or aluminium — lightweight, durable, and corrosion‑proof.

What We Do Now
We specialise in 15‑metre all‑terrain airboat catamarans — heavy‑duty workhorses built for the most demanding environments:
- 🌊 Water — shallow, deep, swamp, or coast
- ❄️ Ice & Snow — retractable skis for frozen lakes and tundra
- 🏜️ Mud & Sand — retractable wheels for beach landings and mudflats
Our vessels are powered by twin, triple, or quadruple airboat engines — each producing approximately 700 kg of thrust — depending on the mission and payload requirements. The platform is built on unsinkable, foam‑filled HDPE pontoons and designed for payloads of 20+ tonnes.
Engine configurations are flexible — we work with our clients to determine the optimal number of engines based on their specific operational needs.
Our design also accommodates cabin modules that can be lifted onto any floating platform and secured at 8 bolted attachment points, allowing for rapid reconfiguration and mission adaptability.
Hydrocopter? Airboat? Hybrid?

Hans van de Ven
Entrepreneur. Engineer. Builder. Over 31 Years of Global Experience.
Hans van de Ven is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 31 years of experience in international trade, production, and logistics.
His journey began in 1995 with oil trading between Venezuela and the USA, working closely with the Venezuelan state oil company PDVENSA. This early experience gave him deep insight into global commodity markets, international logistics, and high-stakes business negotiations — skills that would serve him across multiple industries.
Building and Scaling Businesses
In 2005, Hans founded BioKing, a highly successful Dutch green energy company with production facilities in the Netherlands, Spain, and Canada. Under his leadership, the company became a recognised player in the renewable energy sector. Within three years, he received a high-value buy-out offer from a Russian oil company — the exact figure remains confidential due to a strict NDA.
Hans later founded AlgeLink, which he successfully scaled and sold within just two years — a testament to his ability to build, grow, and exit businesses profitably.

Since then, Hans has worked as an advisor to multinational corporations, sharing his expertise in:
